Aussies, specifically the Melburnian do mention ‘meeting under the clocks’ means meet-up under the row of giant clocks. These clocks are set at the main entrance, which designates the destinations and departure timing on the screens. Secondly, mentioning ‘meeting on the steps’ elaborates the wide staircase underneath these giant clocks. These are quick spots for meeting your acquaintances at the station.
